This training supports teachers in offering yoga practices that honour the changing needs of women during pregnancy and after birth.

About the Training

Teaching prenatal yoga requires an understanding of the physical, emotional, and energetic changes that occur during pregnancy and after birth.

This training offers a balanced combination of theory and practice, providing teachers with the tools to guide safe, supportive, and effective yoga classes for pregnant women and new mothers. You will explore how yoga can support strength, comfort, relaxation, and emotional wellbeing throughout pregnancy and into the postnatal period.

The course is designed to help you teach with clarity, sensitivity, and confidence, whether you are leading dedicated prenatal classes or adapting general yoga classes for pregnant students.

Who This Training Is For

This training is suitable for:
– Yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainees
– Pilates teachers, fitness trainers, and PTs
– Midwives, doulas, and practitioners working with pregnant women

Recommended background: At least two years of yoga practice and/or experience working in movement-based or women’s wellness settings.

What You Will Learn (Training Modules)
Module 1: Foundations: Pregnancy & Yoga

– Understanding physical changes during pregnancy
– Postural shifts, breathing patterns, and energy levels
– General considerations and contraindications for yoga practice
– Supporting women through mindful and appropriate movement

Module 2: Trimester-Based Prenatal Yoga Practice

– Key focus areas for each trimester
– Supporting strength, mobility, and comfort throughout pregnancy
– Adjusting practices as pregnancy progresses
– Creating an inclusive and supportive class experience

Module 3: Sequencing & Teaching Approach

– Structuring a safe and effective prenatal yoga class
– Sequencing for: strength and stamina, flexibility and release, calm and relaxation
– Teaching language and cues for pregnancy
– Adapting general yoga classes to include pregnant participants

Module 4: Breathwork, Relaxation & Meditation

– Breath practices for pregnancy and delivery
– Relaxation techniques to encourage calm and ease
– Visualisations and meditation suitable for pregnancy and postpartum

Module 5: Props & Supportive Equipment

– Using props to enhance comfort and safety
– Chair-based adaptations
– Working with an exercise ball during pregnancy and in preparation for labour

Module 6: Postnatal Yoga & Recovery

– Supporting recovery after birth
– Practices to address fatigue and rebuild strength
– Yoga- and Pilates-inspired movements for postural support
– Breathwork and deep relaxation for physical and emotional wellbeing
– Basic nutrition considerations for new mothers

You Will Finish the Training With the Skills To
– Teach safe and well-rounded prenatal yoga classes
– Adapt general yoga classes for pregnant women
– Understand contraindications and appropriate modifications
– Use props and small equipment to create supportive practices
– Guide postnatal yoga sessions focused on recovery, strength, and relaxation

About the Trainer: Ana Radojkovic

Ana is an experienced yoga teacher and holistic wellness practitioner with nearly a decade of teaching and therapeutic practice. Her journey began with formal education in medical studies and human development, providing a strong foundation in anatomy, psychology, and emotional intelligence which she weaves seamlessly into her yoga teachings.

Ana has specialized in prenatal and postnatal yoga, yin yoga, children’s yoga, Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, as well as meditation and sound healing. She is passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and empowering spaces, particularly for women during pregnancy and postpartum, where yoga becomes a tool for connection, strength, and balance.

Certified in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga in Rishikesh, India, Ana continues to expand her education internationally, integrating modern understanding with traditional yogic practices. Based in Dubai, she works with private clients, group classes, workshops, and teacher trainings.

Through her Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, Ana is dedicated to guiding future teachers with clarity, respect, and care for the pregnant body, offering education that is practical, embodied, and compassionate.
